AFCON winner sends big warning to Ikorodu City ahead of NPFL clash

Ikorodu City

AFCON 2013 winner Brown Ideye has sent a strong message to Ikorodu City ahead of their high-stakes clash on Sunday at Onikan Stadium, Lagos.

The Enyimba forward responded to a post by Ikorodu City director, Adepoju Tobi, who announced the match on his X (formerly Twitter) handle.

Adepoju had posted: “Ikorodu City vs Enyimba on Sunday: Ticket sales will go live online on Wednesday morning.”

Both teams head into the fixture in strong form, having secured maximum points last weekend.

Enyimba edged El Kanemi Warriors with a solitary goal despite Ideye’s absence, while Ikorodu City stunned Lobi Stars with Shola Adelani tap-in, which put the Lagos based side to third place.

With both teams fighting for continental qualification spots, Sunday’s game promises to be a thrilling encounter.
