Uganda Women’s National Basketball team, the Gazelles finally learnt their opponents to confront at the forthcoming 2025 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket finals in Ivory Coast.
The confirmation of the opposition arrives after the conclusion of the long awaited Continental draw that was conducted on Wednesday, April 23 at Hotel des Armées, Abidjan.
The participating 12 nations were divided into four groups of three teams each, with Zone V Qualifiers Champions Uganda pitted in group C alongside 2023 runners-up Senegal and Guinea.

GROUP A:
Côte d’Ivoire, Angola and Egypt.
GROUP B:
Mali, Cameroon and South Sudan.
GROUP C:
Senegal, Uganda and Guinea.
GROUP D:
Nigeria, Mozambique and Rwanda.
The biennial Women’s AfroBasket tournament is scheduled to take place at the Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan from July 26 to August 3,2025.
The winners of each group automatically qualify for the quarter-finals while the second and third placed teams in each group will play a qualifying series for the quarter-finals with the winners advancing to the last eight.
